My career in photography began in 2009. I've photographed nearly 425 weddings, and thousands of people, around the world. I've worked with dozens of brands and artists both locally, and internationally, in conditions I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. While I often use a combination of film and digital, I receive, by far, the most questions about film.
If you are interested in photography in general, perhaps you are just starting out and want to learn the basics of film photography, I can help. If you understand the basics but would like to challenge yourself more, or learn more about other cameras and formats, I can help as well. Our time will be spent answering ALL of your questions. There is no question that is off limits. I have extensive experience with pack film, polaroid film, 35mm, medium format, and 4x5 film, and dozens of camera types and camera brands. However, even if you are the rare photographer using 8x10 wet plate, I can still chat with you about photography in general and provide support and knowledge.

If you do happen to live near Denver: Can be virtual or in person. If in person, there are travel restrictions. If you within 30 minutes of Denver, please add 1 additional hour for travel. If you are 1hr from Denver, please add 2 additional hours for travel. If it's virtual, do not add anything additional to the time you need.
$100/hr... select as many hours as you'd like. If it's 3 or more, we will split it up over several consults. Once you pay, I'll receive confirmation but please email me regardless at michaelashsmith@gmail.com to set up a time and date!
